Quotes and diagnostics
Initial guide prices and online responses are not a guarantee that every device can be repaired for that amount. The exact model, physical condition, parts availability and findings during assessment can affect the final quotation. Chargeable work should be agreed before it begins.
Customer responsibility and backups
Customers should back up important information where reasonably possible before submitting a device. Hardware can fail without warning and some repair or recovery procedures involve unavoidable data risk. Tell PCHUB before work begins if the device contains unusually sensitive or irreplaceable information.
Access credentials
If a password or login is genuinely required to diagnose or test the agreed repair, provide only what is necessary and change temporary credentials afterwards where appropriate. Do not provide unrelated account passwords.
Parts and compatibility
Replacement parts can vary by model, specification, availability and repair option. PCHUB will not describe a part as genuine manufacturer equipment unless that can be substantiated for the specific part supplied.
Turnaround estimates
Any stated turnaround is an estimate unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Parts availability, hidden damage, intermittent faults and specialist work can extend the repair time.
Uncollected devices
PCHUB may contact customers about completed or abandoned repairs. Any policy on long-term uncollected devices, storage charges or disposal must be communicated clearly and applied in accordance with applicable UK law before action is taken.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including applicable consumer rights. Where permitted by law, PCHUB is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for problems outside the agreed repair scope.
